Gaming Standards Association to present Answers to important Standardization Questions at G2E Asia

Las Vegas – Since its inception, the Gaming Standards Association has welcomed operator and manufacturer members from around the world, and the organization has developed communication standards for the global gaming industry. Now, GSA will bring answers to important questions about standardization to the upcoming G2E Asia Trade Show.

G2E Asia takes place 13-14 June in the Macau Tower Entertainment & Convention Centre in Macau, and GSA will be in stand #394. In its stand, GSA will address critical issues of game development and answer questions about the differences between gaming in established markets, such as Las Vegas and North America, and emerging markets, such as Macau. GSA will also discuss how its standards outline a clear path for emerging markets to embrace new technologies.

GSA President Peter DeRaedt will be moderating the panel „Slots and New Technology: Where Do We Go From Here?“ The panel will be heard Wednesday, June 14, at 2:15 p.m. Scheduled to appear on the panel are Kurt Quartier, Vice President International Casino Markets IGT Asia, Lda, Gareth Philips, Chief Technology Officer, Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. and Catherine Burns, Vice President & Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Bally Technologies.

DeRaedt said, „Tables are the dominating revenue stream in Macau casinos, but and slots are growing quickly. How are slot manufacturers planning to gain market share whilst dealing with the cultural differences? What roles will technology, and GSA standards, play in this fast growing market? These are the questions that will be discussed. GSA has been present in Macau since 2005 and is looking forward to enhance its relationships with the local industry and institutions.“
