A mix of lottery, eSports and game development propositions have made it to the final selection and will be presented in Berlin.

Start-up LaunchPad has been a permanent fixture on the gaming calendar since 2008. Organised at EiG and GiGse in partnership with GamCrowd, it allows gaming start-ups to gain exposure and find business partners and investors for further growth. It boasts amongst its winners and finalists successful companies such as Element Wave, Colossus Bets, NumberFire, Fresh8 Gaming and last year’s winner, Casino VR.

The competition reflects the latest trends explored by the industry and this year is no different. 2016 shortlisted start-ups are:

1SpinMillionaire: A promotion and customer retention platform that combines the concepts of lottery and jackpots which give players the chance to win big without any additional stake.

Black Cow Technology: Flexible and modular ‚game server construction kit‘.

GamingBattleGround: A plug-in service for casinos allowing video gamers to create or play in online eSports tournaments.

Glück Games: Developer of games that allow online lotto operators to convert players from pure lotto to casino players.

PVP.ME: Betting exchange that offers in-play betting on any video games.

The start-ups will present their companies as part of the Start-Up LaunchPad session scheduled to take place on Thursday, 20 October at 11:00-12:30. They will be quizzed and critiqued by a judging panel, led by Melissa Blau and composed of Mark Blandford, Partner, Burlywood Capital, Evan Hoff, Partner, Velo Partners, Carla Maree Vella, CEO, Optimizer Invest and Jon Bradford, ex MD, Techstars.

‘Winning the Launchpad competition against other very strong start-ups showed us that the iGaming experts also believe in our value proposition and vision and that they liked our product which gave us good validation to move forward’, commented Marco Kobelt, CEO of Casino VR after their win in 2015. Once again, it will be down to the EiG audience to validate the product of the 2016 winner in a popular vote.

Start-Up LaunchPad is part of EiG (Excellence in iGaming) that takes place in Berlin on 18-20 October 2016. More information and registration are available on www.eigexpo.com.
