MERKUR GAMING successful at Italian „International Amusement & Gaming Machine Show – Enada Spring 2006“

Espelkamp/Lübbecke. Axel Pawlas, Managing Director/CSO of MERKUR GAMING took a very positive stock of MERKUR GAMING‘s participation in the ENADA SPRING 2006 trade show in Rimini/Italy from 23 to 26 March 2006.

„Italy allowed us to demonstrate the concentrated innovative strength of the Gauselmann Group once again and to offer our customers a complete product range including all facets of modern electronic entertainment,“ says Axel Pawlas.

In Rimini, MERKUR GAMING exhibited the innovative product range together with the partner IGT International Games Trade from San Marino, including the new AWP machines for the Italian market „Sphinx Diamante“ and „Lucky Cash Diamante“. The two machines are successors of the previous top performed “Sphinx Gold” and „Lucky Cash“ and will convince operators because of their new multicolor/LED-technology. „The new LED-technology was extremely well received by our customers. The advantages of the new multicolor technology such as increased attention span of the players thanks to extraordinary and manifold light effects, economies thanks to lower energy consumption, the long lifetime of the diodes and the reduced maintenance efforts that go along with it convinced the industry specialists,“ explains a delighted Axel Pawlas.

IGT customer André Wessling of So.Ge.Ma was also positively impressed by the new multicolor technology: „‚Sphinx Diamante‘ and ‚Lucky Cash Diamante‘ are highly attractive and offer better entertainment due to their ingenious light effects. The players will be thrilled!“

Alberto Stolfi, Managing Director of IGT, was overwhelmed by the echo of the trade show attendants concerning the two innovations. „The successful combination of the well-proven gaming systems of the predecessor models ‚Lucky Cash‘ and ‚Sphinx Gold‘ with their excellent long-term earnings, improved technology with reduced maintenance efforts, and the attractive housing rapidly convinced our customers! The machines enable the operator to determine certain characteristics in line with the requirements of the gaming location.“

In addition IGT presented the prototype of the unique “Merkur Roulette” for the Italian market, which captivates among other aspects with highest user-friendliness and design.

„The positive response of the trade show attendants showed us, that we have moved into the right direction by offering higher attractiveness,“ holds Rolf Klug, member of the Board of Merkur pillar international, „and we will therefore consequently continue on this course.“

MERKUR GAMING also had even more products from their comprehensive product range on display in Rimini. The new Italian version of the innovative touchscreen family Merkur Trendy was presented for the first time. The varied gaming offer of Merkur Trendy including card games, quizzes, puzzles, skill games, and board games make it synonymous to appealing entertainment on the highest level. In Italy Merkur Trendy was shown in an ergonomically-shaped and convenient upright housing and in addition the small-sized compact housing which may e.g. be used on counters. Merkur Trendy not only offers diverse and varied games, but also offers the possibility of interlinkage, which means additional attractive features such as Flirt Line, enabling players to exchange messages, or the Las Vegas Mode, enabling players to compete against each other.

The stand of the partner Smile focused on entertainment for kids up to the age of 12 including the latest generation of popular ride simulators such as „Space Car“ as well as a touchscreen for children called „Happy Kids“.
